Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Clipsteady. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

1. What the service does

Clipsteady takes a video you supply — by upload or by URL — and produces short vertical clips from it. Processing is automated. We make no guarantee about how any clip performs on any platform, and our virality score is an estimate produced by a model, not a prediction or a promise.

2. Your content, and your responsibility for it

You keep ownership of everything you submit and everything we produce from it. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store, process, transcode and deliver your content back to you, and to keep operational backups.

You are responsible for having the rights to every video you submit. This is the most important obligation in these terms. Submitting a URL does not transfer any right to you, and the fact that a video is publicly viewable does not make it yours to reproduce. You must not use Clipsteady on material you do not own or have permission to use.

3. Acceptable use

Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. Breaching it is a breach of this agreement.

4. Credits, plans and payment

• Processing is metered in credits. One credit covers twenty minutes of source video, rounded up, with a minimum of one credit per job.
• Credits are debited when a job is accepted. If a job fails for a reason on our side, the credits are returned to your balance automatically.
• Credits included with a plan are granted each billing period and do not roll over unless your plan says otherwise.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of tax as indicated at checkout; you are responsible for any taxes not collected by us.

5. Free tier

Clips produced on the free tier carry a visible Clipsteady mark. Removing, obscuring or cropping out that mark, or attempting to circumvent free-tier limits by creating multiple accounts, is a breach of these terms.

6. Refunds

If the service fails to deliver what you paid for, contact us and we will put it right — by re-running the job, restoring credits, or refunding, whichever fits. We do not refund on the basis that you did not like the clips a model selected, since that is the service working as described.

7. Availability and change

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We depend on third parties — payment processors, model providers and the platforms videos are fetched from — and their outages or policy changes can affect us. We may change or withdraw features; where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you and offer a pro-rata refund.

8. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss.

We are not liable for any claim arising from content you submitted that you did not have the rights to use, and you agree to indemnify us against such claims.

9. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act against, or that is being used in a way that threatens the service or other users. Where practical we will warn you first.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
